
















Investment in the infrastructure of India's water supply is desperately needed due to the low standard of water that is supplied to the city. In Mumbai drinking water is a luxury.
Taking Bangalore as a case study we look at the causes of urban poverty, including urbanisation and push pull factors of rural to urban migration. We then visit Bangalores slums to see the impacts of this poverty including: poor housing, sanitation, lack of access to public transport, education, water.
