One of the largest challenges for implementing a Solar Powered System is the proper sizing, installation and after the installation support of these products. In many cases systems are poorly designed and then installed improperly with no after installation support. These systems are destined to fail. Every year, it is estimated that 80 per cent of newly installed systems fall prey to these types of issues.
To remedy this problem, during 2010, OutBack Power Technologies sponsored over two dozen training seminars and events. Usually these events are organised by local OutBack Distributors and Dealers or Universities in the Commonwealth nations. In 2011, OutBack Power Technologies plans to increase this number of seminars to make sure that these systems are designed, installed and supported for the long term.
OutBack Power Technologies is committed to continue to find ways to help educate users of how to properly size and install solar powered battery backup systems. These systems can be used as a standalone power facility or as a backup when the local utility is not available. Additionally, a solar powered battery backup system can conserve energy and be a cost effective method of obtaining power on a regular basis. OutBack will continue to develop additional methods of providing training to meet these needs.
