Agriculture & Lands

Agriculture holds the potential to eradicate rural poverty, where it exists, in Commonwealth states. This section looks at sustainable agricultural practices and considers balancing conservation goals with issues of food security, so that rural communities, landowners, businesses and farmers can benefit from their land and natural resources. Universities also play a role, as in some Commonwealth countries, higher education institutions are increasingly contributing to the improvement of agricultural development. Agricultural training and practices also continue to be shaped by technological advancements, and therefore these are also considered in this section.
